I hold up an object – a shoe – and I say to a friend, “Look, a bird.”
And they say, “What bird?”
And I say, “Look again, a bird.”
And they say, “What bird?”
So I add a little of this and a little of that and they say, “Oh, that bird.”
And so it goes.
